I’ve spent over 40 years in the auto repair business and about 50 years in total, working on everything from daily drivers to classic and muscle cars that needed a little (or a lot) of love. I’ve always been hands-on and learned as I went, often with just a few basic tools and a tight budget. While I’m not going to say I'm an expert, after working as a mechanic my entire work career and successfully operating an auto business for 40 years, I’ve picked up some things over the years. Now that I’m retired, I get to spend more time at car shows, nostalgia drag races and on projects I enjoy. Here, I share some of what I’ve learned along the way—hopefully it helps you keep your classic rolling and gives you a little extra appreciation for these old beauties.
